You will need:
A round cake pan
4 eggs
2 sticks of butter
2 cups of sugar
2 1/2 cups of flour
1 table spoon of baking powder
2 pinches of vanilla seeds
2 cans of peaches or apricots
powdered sugar for decoration
Soak the peaches.
Cut the butter in tiny bits and let it warm on the stove or at room temperature (if you live in the Valley). When the butter is soft but not completely melted mix the butter and the sugar with a wooden spoon or an electric whisk (if you're lazy like me), then add the eggs one by one. Add the vanilla. In a bowl mix the flour with the baking powder, and add it to the blend. Preheat your oven at 350 degrees.
Put one thin layer of your mixture at the bottom of your cake pan then dispose all the peaches on their curved side then add carefully the rest of the mixture to cover the peaches.
Cook 10 min at 350
then 15 min at 320
finally 30 min at 280
bon appetit
